Fun Stuff!

I have come to the realization that I can say really stupid shit sometimes. It's like I get a thought and instead of thinking, "hum, maybe I should keep this to myself?"...nope, too late! Whatever. I do know this though, I love Bobby Flay! No, really, I do. I could watch him eat all day long! The way he takes a bite of his creations is soooo HOT! Love him! I need to get back to my reading...."Teaching Today's Health." Real exciting. It puts me to sleep. Maybe I'll go outside and read it. Maybe not. I miss my nephew! He is the sweetest little baby and he is so easily entertained! I just have to say, "the Doggie takes a Kitty" and he laughs! I just love him to pieces! Zoey are going to go up and swim at Aunt Laurie's for the 24th (no, I'm not celebrating this holiday!), and she loves it when I play on the floatie things (I'm sure they have a real name) with her. She pretends like we are ships and she comes over and pushes me off my ship. It's really funner than it sounds! But, I sometimes beg her to let me stay on my ship just a little bit longer so I can relax. Nope. We went school shopping last week and she got such cute stuff! She even got a "Smurfs" shirt! Love it! It has the girl smurf (smurfette) and the boy smurf who holds the flowers behind his back (remember him?!). I always wondered why they only had a blonde smurfette and not a brunette. I wanted to be blonde for a long time because of smurfette! My mom's home....gotta go! Peace.

Festival Fun!

So I made it through the Greek Festival and I woke up today sick as hell! I'm sooooo mad cuz I was supposed to go up and babysit my nephew for the week, but nope...I'm f*&%ing sick! My mom's sick too, so it must be something going around, like....swine flu! Nice. I'm going to go to the Dr. tomorrow if I don't feel better, just so I know if I have that or just a sinus infection or whatever. Yeah, this sucks cuz I was looking forward to having the baby all to myself and watching him and Zoey play. He just loves it when Zoey talks and plays with him . The festival was fun though. I mean, it's pretty much the same every year, but still fun. The cookie booth is always crazy busy, but that's what people come for...the food and the cookies and the entertainment. And of course, bingo. I paid for like 12 games and never played once. Every time it was a new game, I would pay and then they would start and I would be talking the entire time, until I hear "Bingo" and I realize, oh, I missed it! But at least I got to wear my new sandals .....finally! I bought them in May and didn't wear them....not that I had anywhere to wear them anyway.

July 4th Celebration!

Well, the Fourth of July weekend has came and went, so quickly I must say & we had such a wonderful time in S.L.C. with my family. Alex has gotten so big and he already knows how to "diss" people (me!)! But that's ok, cuz it's soooo cute when he does it! I love him to pieces! We went to the neighborhood parade and Zoey pushed her Webkinz in a little stroller we bought at Build a Bear and her Aunt Stephanie decorated it with red, white, & blue decorations....it was super cute! And Danny and Steph decorated their stroller (well, mostly Steph!). It was way fun...but way early in the morning! I mean, 9:00am is not early during the school year, but in the summer, yeah, little early for us lazy butts! So, then we went to Aunt Laurie's and Uncle Junior's and swam in their pool....awesome! It is so much fun swimming there. They have a basketball hoop in the pool (well, not in the pool, but the kind you buy for the pool...nevermind), and we played "Pig" which you have to throw the basketball exactly like the person before you, but only if they make the shot. If they don't then you get to make up your own kind of shot. Fun! I think Laurie won...yeah, she did. After swimming, we barbequed lamb burgers and had corn of the cobb and pasta salad. But, I ate chips and salsa all day while swimming, so of course, I was too full to eat! Nice Chris. But I did make room for a cupckae that Stephanie made. They were really yummy, with cream cheese frosting...my favorite! And they were red, white and blue....duh! Later that evening, we went back up to Danny's and Stephanie's and Alex's house to watch fireworks. They were awesome. And then we went back to the hotel and went to bed...yea! I was beat arse tired. So, now getting ready for the festival. Gotta go, dinner time, my favorite...steak and fried potatoes....my favorite. I don't need to fit into my clothes!

Term 1...DONE!

So, One term down...three to go, I think?! I can't believe I finished my first term already! It's crazy cuz it seems like I was just wishing I could go back to school (Grease 2 comes to mind....Oh no, I gotta go...back to school...again!) and all of a sudden here I am! I'm truly grateful for having the opportunity (again!) to go to school. And, I'm smarter than I thought! No, really, you have no idea (well, maybe you do?!) how hard it was for me to figure out how everything worked as far as going to school online. I had to enroll in my courses and then register in learning resources and different sites to go into for writing papers and activities for classes and e-text books and so on. And that was just the setting up part. Then came the actual classes and how to go about scheduling my time for school work and everything else, like work, daughter, cleaning, walking, groceries, and playing the Wii! Well, so far so good, I guess. It was a close race though, cuz I barely got my last assignment in today, which was the last day to submit work, and low and behold....done! Now on to term 2...starting tomorrow! Big break in between terms, don;t ya think?! Crazy. Oh well, I just want to get'er done. G-nite.
