I'm tired! No, like I want to just go in my room and go to bed & it's only 6:00pm! Teaching 1st graders can be exhausting! But, I love it! But I need a nap. It's probably cuz I went to bed at 11:30pm & got up at 5:00am. I can't sleep any later than 5:00am when I work for some reaon. Even when I don't need to get up that early, I still do. Sucks. Especially on Friday night, since I have big plans all the time! Yes, I'm kidding.....don't act like that! Hey, I choose to stay home & enjoy my alone time. Usually. Sometimes, it just happens that way, & I'm fine with that. Really, I am. No, really. Oh, just shut-up already! Know-it-all! I really need to get out more. It's not good when I blog to myself & I'm not even drunk! I haven't had an alcoholic beverage since, Last summer at the Greek Festival. I had 2 beers....the kind with the lime flavor, I think they are Miller brand..I dunno. But they were pretty good. Better than regular beer. I like beer with lemon and salt, so beer with lime is close enough. Ok, enough about my big night of consuming 2 beers without getting into trouble.

Long post!

I feel the student "lack of sleep" syndrome kickin' in...even though I haven't pulled an all-nighter yet (well, not for the past 9 years anyway). I used to do all-nighters, but that was in another life. It's weird when I look back & the it's like I lived a different life in certain units. Like, in my teens, it was all about being cool & fitting in....hated my teen years. And in my twenties, it was about doing what is expected of a twenty year old, which was get a good job and get married and settle down and have kids. Ooops! Kinda missed those steps. And then the wonderful thirties, when I wake up & and go...oh, this is what life is all about. None of the things I thought was important in my teens and twenties are even important now, but they had to be then because that is what leads up to these years and without going through all the good and bad things then...I wouldn't be where I am today. Basically, I would do it all again. There are people I would like to tell...."suck it!" Just like Tina Fey got to do on tv. It just simply says it all, doesn't it?! But, I would also, tell my family each and every day, how much I love them and how fortunate I am to have them.....Mom, Dad, daughter, brother, sister-in-law, & nephew....love ya. And my yiayia whom I couldn't do without her help and her constant giving. How's that for a speech when I win whatever it is you win when you write an award- winning biography. I'm a dork. First, though, I got to write a research paper. I love that commercial where Amy Pohler's new show, has her say, "I thought the slide was too fast, so I put in speed bumps." My daughter cracks-up every time she sees that come on tv. It's hilarious! I'll probably not get to watch it though...I have to limit my tv time and I already have A.I. and DWTS and Lie to Me and The Mentalist (I only watch this cuz the guy in it is so cute!). Not that I get to watch all of these, but they are my first picks. Usually, A.I. is all I get to see during the week, since I do most of my studying at night. Gotta get busy....Have a Great Day.

Weekend warrior!

It's 11:00am on Saturday & my Mom is still asleep....probably because last night around 1:00am I heard something fall in the kitchen & when I came out to check, my Mom was painting the kitchen area! She had already painted it a dreadful taupe color & she hated it, so she had to primer it again & last night is when sh decided to paint it....she's painting it white, which is the color is was in the beginning! I think she's enjoying her time being unemployed a little too much. She already has her day-time tv shows memorized & looks forward to dancing with Ellen every weekday at 4:04pm. I watch it with her when I can & I can't help but be in a good mood while doing so. That's what Ellen does, she makes me laugh every time I watch her! She's hillarious! But then again, I love Judge Alex....he's hot. I need to get out more. My daughter's friend is coming over and we are going for a bike ride later today.....I'm tired just thinking about it. I like walking and I've been doing so every day...well, almost every day, but bike-riding...uphill no less....it's exhausting. Guess I'll go get ready for the big day. Wish me luck.

Happy St. Patrick's!

So, it's St. Partick's Day, & you'd think finding something green for your child to wear to school would be a snap...right? Not so much! For some reason, all of a sudden the green corduroy pants and the cute white shirt with green peace signs on it are too babyish! Huh?! Of course, I try to tell my daughter, that they are not babyish & if I were able to wear them, I would! She wasn't buying it. It was worth a try though....so she wore her Aeropostale shirt that says, "New York" in green and jeans and a green hoodie. Good enough. She loves New York & Washington D.C. These are the 2 places she wants to go for vacation one of these days. She wants to see the White House and The Statue of Libery. After watching the Today show the past 2 mornings, since I'm home sick....again (read last blog for further info.!), Meredith Vierra and Al Roker (spelled right?) are in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day, which is where I would like to go someday. Frank McCourt, the author of "Teacher Man" & "Angela's Ashes" grew up in Ireland. I think I mentioned that in my last post, but I can't remember?! I can't remember what I did 10 minutes ago, let alone yesterday! I better get busy, I have that wonderful research paper waiting for me.....isn't that nice?!! Have a Happy St. Partick's Day!

Blog Bla!

My blog is kinda boring...I think?! I really need to invest in a digital camera so I can download pics & stuff. But, until then...I'll just keep on writin'! Well, I haven't written for awhile actually, so let's do some catching up, shall we? First, I'm sick....again! I caught the same cold that has been going around again and now I have a cough to go along with it....how nice, my cold has a companion! Cuz without a cough, the cold is all alone. Wa! Also, I began getting sick while we were in S.L.C. over the weekend...well, we went up Fri. evening and came home early Saturday cuz I was up to doing much. We did, however, go to Happy Sumo's for sushi cuz Zoey loves her sushi! Even though it's the California roll she orders, she thinks she's eating "raw" fish & she thinks that's pretty cool. The best part about our "short" trip was when we met Danny, Steph & baby Alex at Little America & had dinner in the restaurant. Danny & I had prime rib which was a first for me...I think? I don't think I'm a "prime rib" type of person. But it was good. Alex was kinda over the whole let's hang out with the fam. thing, but I guess after I went back up to the room, he settled down & fell asleep. Maybe he wasn't diggin' my bright green sweater?! Anyhoo, he's sooo cute! And he's funny too! Definitely my brother's son! What else? Oh yeah, I have major school-work to do....like now! Peace.
